Eternal Flight

Photo of balloons released into the skyThis service is accompanied with a framed certificate.

"When the cremated remains of your loved one are scattered into the sky, each sunset becomes a warming memorial"

We place a memorial portion of your loved ones ashes in a 3 foot biodegradable balloon & release it to the heavens. Once the balloon reaches approx 28 000 ft it fractures returning the ashes to natures purest form.

Frequently asked questions

Q. Where does the ceremony take place?
A. We have ground locations or we may be able to perform from a boat (dependant on weather conditions). A map will be provided for you to choose preferred location.

Q. Is it harmful to the environment?
A. No, the balloon is completely biodegradable & combusts into miniscule fragments that pose no harm. All issues were thoroughly researched prior to gaining approval.

Q. Do you need the ashes prior to the day?
A. Yes. Preparation is needed for the balloon to be ready. You can courier the ashes to us or we can organise local pick-up of the ashes from the funeral homes, crematorium or your house. A small additional fee is charged for pickup outside the Brisbane area.

Q. Are we able to release the balloon?
A. Absolutely, we encourage it.

Q. Are we able to release a couple of balloons if there are a few family members who wish to participate.
A. Yes, however an additional fee will apply to cover extra cost of equipment. Alternatively we can supply upon request smaller helium filled balloons to accompany the larger one.

Q. What does the certificate have on it?
A. We supply a special "Eternal Ceremonies" certificate with a record of details such as time & location of service.

Q. How do I know the ceremony is performed if I choose an unattended scattering?
A. In this case we record the ceremony upon request as we want families to be comforted knowing their loved ones ashes are taken good care of.
